How Oaxaca City And The Valleys Link Up
Oaxaca City sits inland in the Valles Centrales at about 1,550 m, with no sea, port or navigable river anywhere near it. The valleys fan out in three arms. Monte Albán lies west, while the eastern arm strings together Santa María del Tule, Teotitlán del Valle, Tlacolula, Mitla and Hierve el Agua. South lie Ocotlán, San Bartolo Coyotepec and San Martín Tilcajete.
