Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what happens to your information when you read the Oaxaca Travel Guide pages, compare Monte Albán tours, or browse mezcal tastings and craft workshops. The short version: very little is collected, nothing is sold, and bookings happen on the operators' own pages, not here.

What Data Gets Gathered

The Oaxaca Travel Guide editorial team keeps data collection dull on purpose. An analytics service counts page views in aggregate, showing whether readers are comparing Hierve El Agua day trips or the free GuruWalk walks of the historic centre, and that is roughly the extent of it. Hosting and caching run through a content delivery network that also filters abusive traffic. The numbers carry no names, no email addresses, and no way to single anyone out. No script on this site follows you into a booking flow or ties a page view to your payment card, because the booking itself happens on the operator's own page.

Cookies And Outbound Links

This site uses a small number of cookies to remember basic preferences and to understand which pages readers find useful. For details about the affiliate arrangements behind tour links, please read the explanation provided on our disclosure page. No payment details are collected here, since bookings happen on the operator's own pages.

Contacting Us

Questions about this policy, a data request, or a correction to a tour description can go to the editorial desk through the contact address on the site. The Oaxaca Travel Guide is an authorless desk, so no individual writer holds reader data. Replies usually cover practical things: a stale price on a Mitla day trip, a food tour that stopped running, or a free walk whose meeting point moved off the Andador Macedonio Alcalá.

Your Choices

Nothing here is locked behind tracking. Clear your cookies and the Monte Albán comparisons, market tour roundups and Tlacolula valley day trip pages all work exactly as before. Enabling your browser's do-not-track setting switches the analytics off. Spotted a wrong duration or a tour that no longer runs? A short email to us gets it corrected or taken down.
